Can I raise this child?
Everyone will have an opinion. We are here to help you explore your options and provide information and connect you to resources. There are classes to help teach parenting. If you decide that the time is not right for you to parent, we will help you find an alternative that resonates with your values and dreams. If you choose to parent and find yourself overwhelmed, you can contact us.
I know I will be a good parent someday, but am I ready to be a parent now?
You may be in high school or college, already have children, or have plans and dreams you want to pursue before becoming a full-time parent. Maybe you work full-time and are already struggling with finances or having enough time. This pregnancy may be unexpected and is not the right time in your life to be raising a baby. Whatever your situation is, you have made a thoughtful decision to consider your options, and we are here to help you. You have the choice of parenting, aborting, or placing the child for adoption. Regardless of the decision you make, we promise to to help you keep moving forward in your life. Support from government, friends, and family often decreases or disappears over time as you are expected to take full responsibility for raising your child. We are here to ensure that you and your baby are taken care of throughout your pregnancy and beyond.
Will I be parenting alone?
Parenting in the best of circumstances can be difficult, especially if you are doing so alone. Being a single mother with no support from the birth father, or friends and family is stressful. Consider who has been there for you and will they continue to support you as you parent a child.
Am I ready to parent?
This question is the most important. It depends on many factors, including your finances, support system, and whether or not there are other goals you wish to focus on achieving before raising a child. It’s OK to decide you aren’t ready.
