Parenting

Parenting is a commitment. Answer for yourself if you are ready to parent, and if you will have the necessary support for you and your child. Now is the time to learn if you are ready to be a parent.

Adoption

We have families waiting to meet you.  If you choose to make an adoption plan, your adoptive family will remain in relationship with you and honor you.

Abortion

Terminating a pregnancy seems like an easy fix, and it will come with many emotions.   You should receive answers to all of your questions before any decision is final.

Learning you’re pregnant can be shocking and stressful. The First Parent Initiative is here to alleviate that stress. We walk alongside women with unplanned pregnancies to be a trusted friend and reliable resource for information on your options and your rights.

We may be also be able to help with pregnancy-related expenses such as housing, food, prenatal care, and even maternity clothing. We want to make sure all moms are healthy and supported, and that all children are in safe and nurturing homes.

We’re a not-for-profit agency with no agenda. We’ll listen to your dreams, fears, and hopes, and provide you with the information needed to make an informed decision about your pregnancy

Looking to adopt?

Information about the adoption process is available at our CFA website. CFA is a private, nonprofit child placing agency that has been placing children in adoptive homes since 1958. We have physical offices in Portland and Redmond, Oregon and Vancouver and Burien, Washington.
